Fireside Concerts!
One of the best parts of this winter was the use of the fireplace. Had two great fireside house concerts this year! After the last one we danced the night away to our favorite Cuban music and Salsa hits!

Love at the Levitt
James proposed to his girlfriend Kelly on stage at the Levitt on Oct. 2, 2009. She said “yes!”. ¡Felicidades! to the happy couple. All the best wishes from us! What a great experience- we were happy to be a part of it. The song I sang for you after the proposal is an old one, a bolero, and it’s called, “Algo Contigo”.

¡Agua!
Yes, it rained again at our gig at Dunn Bros Addison, July 26, 2009. The artist waiting in his car with paints and canvas trying to get in the door. A great summer rain that looks to sit here a while. Agua de Beber. It was a fabulous fun night. Live response art, original music by Tania Cordobés, Michael Stacy w/ Los Pistoleros, and a spoken word piece by Doc Rogers. Descargas on...

The Amazing Amygdala
When I’m not singing in a public venue, I’m a practicing music therapist. In that vein, I have a particular interest in how music is processed in the brain. Lately I’ve been getting back into research about the amygdala, emotions and music. It’s information that is fascinating and affirming for anyone who uses music in a therapeutic or recreational capacity. Check...

Spectacular Moments in Music Compliments of God
Well, last night’s tour stop at Dunn Bros in Addison was another rainy night for the record books. We watched with awe as the rain poured and poured from the time we began to play and continued as we were loading out. I was singing the final note of “Eternidad” in unison with Gregg and just as I closed my hand to signal the note to end the thunder and lightning came on cue....

Agua De Beber!
The rain came down in buckets and we played another Containers and Jars tourstop at Dunn Bros in Addison. I think it was one of the biggest downpours of the spring.

Sunday Night March 1st, 2009
Tourstop at Dunn Bros. in Addison. This was the first time to play all together at the Addison location of Dunn Bros. The venue was packed. It was a great night. People were milling about looking at M2 working on canvas. It is a cool place to play music because people sit really close to the performers and the “stage area” is surrounded by windows.
